Installation "Mirror"

In an almost inaccessible zone of the rocky landscape, Rakcevic installs an aluminum board of intensive shine, which is stretched/lashed between two rocky points only by a cable. It levitates in the space and freely floats above it. It works as a catcher of light, its transformer and intensifier; simultaneously, the caught light transforms the appearance of the catcher itself and, modifying its quality, makes the catcher assume the light that it expects and "accepts". The concentration of light impulse that the board directly "produces" follows and registers Sun's path and intensity of sunlight, which varies depending of time of day. Like an absolutely simplified Sun clock, the mirror sphere is "real", it "lives", i.e. it is functional while watching directly in the face of Sun, illustrating the one-to-one situation. It presents an almost mirror situation; the effect of "direct gaze in the Sun" reflects in the landscape; that is dislocation, i.e. "descending" into the landscape of "full" intensity of ray of sun, the one created by the privilege of sky. The light that distributes evenly all around is collected here, according to its own will and with equal intensity, becoming an effective pierce, source of light, focus of sunlight accumulation and place from which it is emitted farther with increased strength and multiplied forces.

Intervencija u pejzažu, u čistoj prirodi (projekat "Lanac otkrivanja", Crna Gora 2001) jeste instaliranje, u gotovo nedostupnoj zoni kamenitog pejzaža, aluminijumske table visokoga sjaja koja, samo sajlom razapeta/zakačena između dvije kamene tačke, levitira u prostoru, slobodno lebdi nad njim. Funkcioniše kao hvatač svjetlosti, njen transformator i pojačivač; istovremeno, uhvaćena svjetlost transformiše pojavnost samog hvatača, modifikuje njegovu kakvoću, on poprima svojstva same svjetlosti koju očekuje i koju »prima«. Jačina svjetlostnog pulsa koji ploča indirektno »produkuje«, prati i registruje prirodnu putanju sunca, intenzitet sunčeve svjetlosti koji varira u raznim satima dana. Poput kakvog apsolutno simplifikovanog sunčanog sata, ogledalna sfera jeste »realna«, ona »živi«, tj. funkcionalna je kada gleda neposredno u lice sunca, ona ilusturje situaciju »jedan-na-jedan«. Ona prezentuje gotovo ogledalnu situaciju, reflektovanje u pejzažu efekta »direktnog pogleda u sunce«, to je dislociranje, tj. »spuštanje« u pejzaž »punog« intenziteta sunčevog zraka, onog koji jeste privilegija prostora neba. Svjetlost koja se svuda naokolo rasprostire ravnomjerno, prema sopstvenoj volji i sa podjednakom snagom, ovdje je sabrana, postaje efektan ubod, svjetlosno žarište, fokus u kome se prirodna svetlost sunca sakuplja i iz koga se emituje pojačanom snagom i umnoženim moćima.
